Creative campaign stunts

Hacking a newspaper at the Tory party conference

In collaboration with One Strong Voice - the UK's first coalition of refugee and migrant campaigners - I created a parody of a popular tabloid and filled it with stories imagining this government welcoming refugees. Thousands of copies were distributed outside the Tory party conference.

A rogue blue plaque on Suella Braverman’s constituency office

Developed this stunt for Freedom From Torture as a creative way to highlight the ‘legacy’ of Suella Braverman’s anti-refugee agenda.

Bringing the voices of refugee camp residents to EU leaders

While EU leaders felt it was more convenient to keep refugees out of sight, out of mind on the Greek islands, this guerrilla projection stunt with Choose Love brought the voices of refugee camp residents straight to the European Commission building in Brussels. This action formed the core of a campaign which generated 180,000 petition signatures in support of evacuating vulnerable people from Greek island refugee camps.

Hacking tube ads to oppose the government’s Rwanda plan

Conceived and designed these tube ads, opposing the UK government’s plan to force refugees to Rwanda.

Repurposing sick bags to highlight unethical business deals

Conceived and designed these flyers printed on sick bags, drawing attention to the port profiting from refugees’ pain by giving the government’s refugee accommodation barge a mooring.

Commemorating Priti Patel’s hostility with a 3D-printed plaque

Developed this stunt for Freedom From Torture to show that by scapegoating people seeking safety, ex-Home Secretary Priti Patel was standing on the wrong side of history. This simple, low-cost stunt has been watched over 1m times.

Giving out impossible maps at the Tory party conference

Developed this stunt for Freedom From Torture to show the impossible routes their policies are forcing refugees on.
