Stopping the UK government’s ‘airline of last resort’
When the government announced its plan to fly refugees to Rwanda, I led the creative aspects of Freedom From Torture’s campaign to pressure airlines to commit to never being part of the scheme. This included several high-profile stunts, a fake airline advertising campaign and even a 3D-printed ‘worst airline’ award in the shape of a golden poo.
Finally, Privilege Style airlines - the frontrunner for the flights - joined many other companies in backing out.
